Allison has been making fonts for over two decades, creating over 1,000 to date with lenient, understandable licensing, and none of those insidious license-checking web crawlers.

Her work is credited under Chequered Ink since August 2015. Older fonts are now licensed under Chequered Ink but may appear elsewhere with old details.

A detailed story of Allison’s font-making history, along with tutorials on making a similar first and 1,000th font, can be read in her blog with “How to make 1,000 fonts”.
