Correction: It'll Only Take A Week Or Two

Work on It Only Takes A Second, conveniently shortenable to "IOTAS", is going pretty well. It's currently a 3D platforming game with working lighting (a first for me) and decent physics (another first, I'm on a roll!). It will be a game in which you get two planes, one behind the other, and can switch between them (a la one of my oldest 3D games, Elemence Z, a joint attempt between me and Ben Smith to revive my old Elemence series) to complete levels. Currently, the axiom I have in mind for the game hasn't been implemented in any way whatsoever, so I have no trouble in giving all two or so of you that read this blog a screenshot (which is a teensy bit outdated - it shows a third, central plane) and a li'l tech demo.

Anyway, I'm enjoying making this game, so expect it to be an entry into the competition as planned.Well, that's all for today. It's 3:20am at the moment, and I have to be up early tomorrow/today. So... yeah. Wing dang doodle to you all.

It Only Takes A Second
It Only Takes A Second is the name of the game I'm currently making as an entry for the GameJolt Axioms Competition. From the name alone you can probably work out which of the ten preset axioms it uses.
I'm not going to detail out its premise yet since I don't want anyone pinching it, but I'm planning on 20-30 levels and some of the online features previously seen in Innoquous 3. It'll also be 3D, as I quite like that extra dimension. Over the coming days and weeks I'll begin to release more information.
Of course, while I make this, development of other games is temporarily halted. I don't consider this a bad thing though - look what happened to Innoquous 3 when I halted it to make Infidels!
Anyways, fairly short entry but that's all I had to say. See you in the future, suckers!

The domain is... sorted?
A quick blog entry, since it's 4:48am for me.
The domain appears to be fixed now. I had to change from Parahosting to 110mb to get it going correctly, but it seems to be alright now.
If you have any problems with the domain working, try nalgames.com and www.nalgames.com. If they still don't work, try clearing your history of all instances of the domain. Still not working? You can access the site at nalgames.110mb.com as an emergency measure.
If you do have to use the 110mb subdomain to access the website, please let me know. It should be working okay for most people though.
Good night/morning!

Et voila!
The site, bar a few things, is done now. I've also dived into the CSS of this blog and given it an overhaul to match the main site. There are a couple of other changes too, such as the addition of a couple of gadgets on the site. You can access any of the pages of NALGames.com from the sidebar, and my last five Twitter tweets are shown.
I've tested the website and blog in Firefox 3.5 and Internet Explorer 7, both of which display it fine (differently, but fine). If you use a different browser, such as Google Chrome or Opera, and you feel like being helpful, let me know if you experience any problems or see any glitches with the site (it doesn't matter if it looks a bit different but still fine).
If you have any suggestions for additions to the blog or website, you can contact me using any of the methods shown on the website's usage page.
On the subject of games, which this blog will begin to talk about more, I recently released a trippy game called Head Candy, which was made since I recently learnt how to use surfaces and needed a game to test them on.
WIP-wise, I have a few things going on. The first is an Aargon remake. This is currently on hold since I need to learn a few more things to make it. You can find some information on this in a TwilightPhantasm-related blog entry here.
Next is a game called Innoquous World. This is basically Innoquous' gravity switching mixed with Seiklus' free roaming and the jumping puzzles of... well, Innoquous, I guess. It will be more worldy though, incorporating proper environments. I've barely started this but I will do so very, very soon.
Last is a puzzle game with the working name Rotatarama, in which you play as a man that cannot walk. He can only use a hook which he can throw onto any spot then spin around. Not really concepted this one much, it's just an idea I wouldn't mind carrying out.
Anyway, that's it for now. Stay fresh!

First!!!!1
Well, hello there. I'm presuming you found this blog from my nice new website.
Once the site is done, I will use this blog, as well as my Twitter account, to post information on upcoming and new releases. They'll be longer posts too ;)
That's all from me at the moment. See you in another entry!

Convert? Bugger off!
It's been a while. Need to get rid of some of the cobwebs on this beast :P
Anyways, this post is to tell you about some git that's been PMing me on YoYo Games, trying to convert me to Christianity.
One day, I walked into this post by a member that will remain anonymous:-
Are you a christian? <user's name> If not look at my signature...
The user's signature:
There is one way to God. Through Jesus Christ!!! If you accept Jesus into your heart you"ll live forever in heaven. Now that is a real Computer Game!!
If you know me fairly well, you'll know I bloody hate people trying to press their religions on me. So I replied as follows:
No, I'm an atheist, and it's staying that way. If there's one thing I do not want, it's somebody trying to push religious crap on me, alright?
This seemed to rattle his cage. He then told me:
Well you have one. I know of many people who became Christians and they NEVER regret it. You MUST accept Jesus into your heart. Do you want to go to hell. You Will If You Don't Accept Christ!!! Do you have any family or friends who are Christians? If so, talk to them. This is what life is all about!! Please accept or you'll go to Hell which is an everlasting fire!! Do you really want to go to hell. Please accept him into your heart. See, the purpose of life is God, not us. He wants to save you!! But Jesus can't unless You accept it. He has given you the best gift anyone could ever give, and to not accept it would be very foolish. His gift is better than Gamemaker 7.0 pro, better than the very best thing you could ever think of!! I have accepted and I haven't and never will regret it because I know that when Jesus comes back he'll take me home to heaven and all who haven't accepted will be thrown into the everlasting fire (hell)!! I know of some other Christians on Yoyo Games like my bro. Makerman, Desertdweller, Hill Brothers, and Archerycat29. He will come back and ask you, have youi lived your life for Jesus, and as of now you'll have to say no. Please accept. Believe in him!!
By which point, I was getting pissed off. My fiery reply to this outburst:
Look. I hold my faith in science. Where science is concerned, there is no hope in hell of a God of any kind. Hence my Atheism. You have no proof whatsoever that your worship is doing any good whatsoever - just a bunch of fairy-tales that any old bloke could've coined. As far as science and my belief is concerned, when you die, that's it. You're a series of cells that die off and life ends right there. Now, I have no problem with other people's religions or beliefs, and will not try to convert anybody to atheism. Ever. Furthermore, I will never be converted to any religion, under any circumstance. If you cannot respect my beliefs, go to hell. As literally as you like.
Unfortunately, religious nuts NEVER give up. His reply:
I do have proof. Who made you? No one but Jesus Christ!!
*sigh*
My mother. She was made by her mother, and so on. Saying she was made by Jesus Christ is proof in the same way being shot in the face is good for your health. The theory of evolution is a million times more believable than some God randomly conceiving her. I will not be converted to a religion, nor will I ever be. Any subsequent PMs you send me in any way related to religion will be deleted and not replied to. Goodbye.
Since then, he's replied twice, once telling me "I must believe!" and a second asking me who made the first people in the world. Despite a temptation to reply "Who the fuck do you think made God then?!" I kept my word - deleted what he said and left it there.I am atheist and will be staying that way. I just wanna state though that I have no problem with other people's beliefs or other religions, only people that want to push them on me. Especially over a PM system on a game making website.
NAL out.
Here... is my big blog thing.
I've decided to revive my old blog, changing it a bit just to make it nicer. It'll now be the occasional post on everything I can think of. If I'm feeling cheap, I might copy this and paste it into other blog thingies, such as TwilightPhantasm or 64digits.
I'm working on a 3D first-person shooter called Cubeworld. It's coming along nicely. I post demos regularly on TwilightPhantasm, so take a look if you're bored sometime.
Life's going very well at the moment, one day of school left after the weekened, then six weeks off. Yay. :)
That's all for now. Introductory blogs are allowed to be short, so ha!
